Technical and economic politics

The main direction of OAO "Plastic" activity is a production of all kinds of plastic components for vehicle VAZ, GAZ, UAZ, KamAZ. The factory supplies automotive components to the leading Russian produces: ZAO "GM-AvtoVAZ", OAO GAZ, OAO UAZ, OAO "Izhmash-AVTO", ZAO "RosLada".

The products  of "Plastic" are of great value abroad, too. But the main consumer is OAO "AvtoVAZ", where 65% of total plant products is being supplied to. No one of Togliatti's vehicle leaves the assembly line without "Plastic" automotive components.

Today within the framework of cooperation with AO "AvtoVAZ" the program of preparing for components production for the new model VAZ 1118 "Kalina" has been worked out. For this purpose the basic mold production is being developed: the industrial base has been re-equipped; it has been developed and produced machining attachments for more than 150 products which are necessary for the design of this vehicle – dash panels, elements of cab interior and so on.

Besides, the production for aerospace, navigational and electrical engineering industry, agriculture and construction industry is manufactured here. Another important company's activity is saturation of the market with modern consumer goods, such as containers, basins and toys (more than 100 names).

The enterprise, as well as its main consumer "AvtoVAZ", is going with the times. The traditional injection molding was replaced with the gas-molding (we are the first who has applied it in Russia), which allows to produce parts with the better quality of the surface.

In 2004, instead of aluminum induction manifold the new one, made from more economical polymer, has been prepared for the production. The new module, developed by the experts of the plant with the technical cooperation with "Dow", MPI and "AvtoVAZ" companies, has integrated in its design more than 20 parts, which were produced from aluminum before.

One of the most modern processes of the plant is the production of the integral roof lining for the VAZ, GAS and UAZ vehicles.

The flaps of the heater control system will be manufactured according to the new technology (two-components molding): two materials – firm and elastic - are molded  simultaneously. Tightness becomes perfect – it is warm and cosy inside the cab. This method will be applied in producing other interior parts.

Besides, "Plastic" is the only enterprise in Russia and one of the few European enterprises which has the equipment for the mechanic processing of large-sized parts. By means of water jet cutting of  dash panels, making holes in roof linings or in door panels it is possible to keep the precision of 1 mm.
